Operation Encompass CEOP

2020 ~ 2021 Messages from Mrs Howarth 😊

Tuesday 17th November 2020

Despite our rigorous, stringent and strict measures in place, we have unfortunately had 1 confirmed case of Covid19 within school (in separate Bubbles).

As a result, I have had to 'close' the Year 4 Bubble until Monday 23rd November 2020.

Letters have been sent home to all parents and a copy can be found on the Letters Home page on this website using this direct link

Single Case of Covid-19 information letter

All children and staff identified as a 'close contact' have been notified and are self-isolating until Saturday 21st November 2020 and will be returning to school on Monday 23rd November 2020.

If your child has NOT been identified as a close contact, they are to come in to school as usual tomorrow, Wednesday 18th November.

I appreciate this will be very worrying for all of you. I am in close liaison with Public Health England, the Department for Education, NHS and Lancashire County Council and following their guidance and advice.

To reassure you, Year 4 classroom will be  quarantined for 72hours where a thorough and deep-clean will take place of the rooms and equipment.

If you are contacted by NHS Track and Trace, PLEASE follow their advice. This is of such great importance for EVERYONE, in your family, in our school family, in our community, in our Country and also globally.

We ALL have a very important part to play in the prevention of further outbreaks and together as one school family, we can help and support each other, but we do ALL have to follow advice and guidance.

Thank you for the continuous support, help and understanding.

This could help prevent the spread...a free app and very easy to use and download... and far more informative than Social Media for finding out facts about Covid!

The most important thing for ALL of us is, if your child or household member has Covid-19 symptoms, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO SCHOOL until you have got advice. Thank you!

4th September 2020

I would like to say a huge thank you to EVERYONE for making the return to school this week smooth, happy, calm and a joy!

Many people were nervous, maybe anxious about the whole school return (myself included!) however, as always the English Martyrs' school family worked in harmony and all was calm!

It has been a fantastic return and both myself and the whole staff team cannot wait for the year ahead where many adventures await for all of us!

Thank you!
