Week 6 w/c 12/10/2020

Friday 16th October 2020

Happy Friday Year 3,

What a great week we've had! We've enjoyed writing a class story all about Paddington Bear making a mess in the kitchen; solved rainforest Maths puzzles; created various graphs to compare what the climate is like in South America to the U.K. and sketched rainforest animals... and that's just to name a few exciting things that we've been up to!

Here is your homework:

Reading Comprehension-

See your Purple Mash 2Dos. Read chapter 3 and complete the question quiz.

I've also added some additional activities about Chapter 3 if you want to have a try at them.

Please complete by: Thursday 22nd October

Times Table Rock Stars

Try to go on for 3-5 minutes every day to practise your times tables. Can you become a Wannabe, an Unsigned Act or even a Rock Hero? Well done to the three children who got a TTRS certificate today!

Times tables are tested every Wednesday.

Please read at home daily and get an adult to sign your reading record.

Three signed reads reading bead!

Thank you to everyone who is trying to read daily. It will really help improve your reading, comprehension and writing skills.

A new list is available every Monday and tested the following Monday. I have set it as a 2Do on PurpleMash and added this week's spelling quiz to try.

Stay safe and enjoy planting your beans.

Thank you for your continuous support,

Mrs SworeΕ„  smiley
