    Parliament Week

School Council celebrated Parliament Week by joining forces with Eco Council. We worked together, holding a ballot where the school were all involved. Votes were counted and the majority vote was for a Buddy Bench. We are planning to highlight the bench in the yard with signs and also explaining to students what the bench is for and how it can help with friendships.

School Council and Eco Council will work on this project jointly.

School Council chose some Friendship Rules which they shared with all Classes.

    Introducing our School Council

    Letter from School Council-News

    School Council News

School Council arranged a Bake Sale which led to proceeds of £156!!! Thank you to everyone who supported us. The proceeds have been spent on World Gifts where we have bought for families helped by CAFOD; a goat, chickens, water for a family, a queen bee and resources for children to attend school. We are so happy to have been able to help these families gain produce which we would take for granted.

Everyone has a voice and everyone's voice deserves to be heard.

At English Martyrs', we have an active School Council. Our 2021/22 School Council are now working together and have a number of projects on the go! Please read the above letter for news of the great work they are doing. The team are deciding on useful events and feeding back to their classes about the projects they are working on. They are hoping to provide support for both local and wider community needs.

When individuals work together, they can double their strength and get much more done as a team!
