Caterpillar to Butterfly Life Cycle

Just as school closed our caterpillars transformed into their chrysalis!

Watching them grow!

All five of our butterflies finally emerged from their chrysalis, so it was time to release them into the garden.

Beautiful Butterflies!

Our butterflies have finally emerged from their chrysalis! Mrs Thomas has taken some pictures and let them free in her garden. To celebrate our butterflies we were wondering if you could create some beautiful butterflies of your own? You could draw, paint, chalk, junk model, bake butterfly cakes... the possibilities are endless! We'd love to see what your imaginations come up with! Simply email a photo of your creations to; EMNursery@englishmartyrs.lancs.sch.uk

Look at our butterfly work!

Eli has made some tasty butterfly cakes, yummy!
Mrs Howson has painted a symmetrical butterfly!
Miss Hankin has drawn the butterfly life cycle.

Alexandra reads: THE CRUNCHING MUNCHING CATERPILLAR by Sheridan Cain and Jack Tickle

Whilst we were watching our caterpillars grow we read lots of stories. Here is another you will enjoy!
