Monday 13th July
Well, Good Morning Everybody!
I can't believe it is actually our last week of term and in September you will be Year 1 children!
Our home learning this week continues with the theme of "Superheroes". I have included last week's reading and writing activities as a reminder. There is also a super guided reading book about "Scooters".
Last week we spent a little bit of time in class looking at and making repeating patterns. Have a go at this at home. The maths planning sheet has details!
Please remember you are all superheroes and are doing so well!!
We miss you all and look forward to meeting up again as soon as possible.

Good Morning, Everyone!
I hope you are all keeping well. We really miss seeing you and look forward to seeing you all together again soon!
Please find your home learning in the weekly folders section. In class we have been looking at stories by Jill Murphy and this week the home learning text is "Five Minutes Peace".
We will share this in class too and will also start to read and enjoy traditional tales, beginning with "The Gingerbread Man". We will be thinking about and describing characters in the story.
There is a lovely guided reading book for you to share on Superheroes. Have a think about the type of superhero you would be.
Please have a look at the maths ideas and try to count on to 20 and back again. We will be looking at one more and one less than this week - numbers to 20 only.
Don't forget to write your name every day and keep trying hard to form all numbers to 20 and letters of the alphabet correctly.
Thank you for working so hard!
Miss A

Hello Everyone!
I hope you are all well and staying safe. What terrible weather we have had this weekend with so much wind and rain! I hope it improves very soon! We need the sunshine again!
I hope you are managing to find the weekly activities in the Home Learning section. This week there is a lovely story about owls and dinosaurs. The children in class will be enjoying listening to stories about bears. We will be drawing and labelling bears, and writing a list of what we would take to the moon in a rocket. We will design our own rockets too.
We will be reading "Peace at Last" and "Whatever Next" by Jill Murphy.
In maths, we will be ordering numbers to 20 and putting caterpillars and towers in order, from longest to shortest and tallest to shortest. You will find a tower activity in the maths section. We will also be using balances to learn about heavier and lighter.
Please talk about friendship and what you think makes a good friend. There is a lovely story called"My Friend Bear" by Jez Alborough that we will reading.
Please email the class. It would be great to hear from you!
Take care,
Miss Andrews

Good Morning Everyone,
We are very excited to be welcoming back some of our Reception children this week. For those who are still learning at home, I have continued to add details in the "pencil" icon.
There is a lovely story to share together called "Goldilocks". You may get a little bit of a surprise when you look at it, as this Goldilocks is actually a mouse!
We can share this story in class too, so everyone will have the chance to read and enjoy it!
In class this week the children will be learning about the importance of keeping clean and washing our hands. We will be continuing to count to 20 and will be putting numbers in order on a number line. We will also be revising Phase 2 and Phase 3 phonemes. Your sound mats are in your original home learning pack, so please keep trying hard to learn them.

There is a guided reading book about a boy called Teddy who enjoys writing lists. Are you able to write a list? Perhaps you can write a list of your favourite toys and email it to our class email.
Let us know how you are getting on.
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
