Welcome to Year 2!!

Our class Teacher is Miss Walker.

Our lovely teaching assistants are Mrs Polli and Mrs Kenny.

Useful Information

English, Maths and Phonics are taught daily. 

You can help your child at home by reading with them daily and asking them questions about their book, this will help develop their inference skills. Books will be changed  as and when

required. 

Our PE is on a  Monday - please make sure your child has a PE kit in school.

Until October half term, we will have an extra PE lesson on a Wednesday afternoon. Please make sure your child's PE kit is in on this day too! 

Golden Time is on a Friday afternoon. 

Spellings will be given out on a Monday and tested on a Friday. 

Homework will be given out on a Friday and is due in on the following Thursday. (Please find your child's individual login for MyMaths on the opening page of their homework book.)

Children MUST have their reading bags in with them every day.

In Year 2 everyday is a new day to learn something new!

We will make mistakes... but we will learn from these.

We will find things hard... but we will never give up.

We will feel like saying we can't do it... but instead we say WE CAN!
