Week Beginning 22nd June 2020

I hope you have had a lovely weekend celebrating Father's Day with your Dads.  Monday sees school reopen more widely, beginning with Reception class. We do hope to get Nursery back into school soon, but I will be in contact with you all nearer the time.

Take care and stay safe,

Mrs Thomas

The Colour Monster

We have previously read this story in Nursery, so you may remember it! I thought right now was a good time to revisit this book because it discusses feelings. I know we've all been feeling a variety of different emotions with all that is going on right now.

We started to make our own 'Colour Monsters' on World Book Day. Do you remember 'having a go' at sewing?

The Colour Monster

The Colour Monster - by Anna Llenas. Read by Sherry.

The Oak Academy Trust is also covering this story this week too. If you would like to explore the text further as a Reception lesson please click the link below.

The Colour Monster goes to school

Listen and read the next book in this series, The Colour Monster Goes to School. Is our school anything like this? I wonder how you feel starting school.

Can you draw me a picture of you starting school? How do you feel about it? Ask Mummy, Daddy or a big brother or sister to help you write a sentence about your feelings.

Days Of The Week Addams Family (Parody) | Fun songs for Big Kids, Preschoolers and Toddlers

Do you remember the days of the week song? Can you name some days of the week? Can you name them in order? Which days of the week do we normally come to school on?
