Welcome to Year 6!

welcome you to Year 6. 

 

Please use the links below to look through our class pages. These pages will be updated regularly with photos and descriptions of our fantastic work and activities. You will also find links to helpful webpages and educational games.

 

English, Maths, Handwriting and Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar are taught daily. Our themes will change half termly and our Science, Art, DT, History, Geography and Computing will be taught through our cross curricular theme.

 

Banded books will be changed as and when required, these books will be at the level your child is reading at. You can help your child by reading with them and asking them about what is happening in the book.

 

Please practice times tables and mental calculations at home with your child, this will help them as your child progresses in their mathematical learning.

 

P.E. will take place on Tuesday and Thursday and the correct kits should be in school on these days. 

 

Weekly homework will be set and handed out on a Friday. This will need to be completed and handed in by the following Monday. Weekly spellings will be handed out on a Monday and tested on Friday morning.
