Welcome to Year 5
Hello and welcome back into Year 5
It is a busy year for Year 5 in preparation for the children's final year at primary school. Your teacher will be Mr.Bridge and he will be supported by Mrs Turner and Miss Patel.
The children will continue to progress through the Maths and English curriculum and will be doing other exciting topics through the year.
Homework is Tuesday to Tuesday and will alternate between 'mymaths' and comprehension work. The children are expected to read every night and get their reading diaries signed. This is very important good readers always make good writers!
The children will receive spellings on a Friday to be tested the following Friday.
Please remember to have the correct PE kit for Thursdays when your children will have PE; they will start swimming after the February half term however I will keep you informed about this.
Please remember that children must not wear earrings for PE and hair must be tied up.
We are all looking forward to a great year and some fantastic learning.
